Boo at the Zoo 2011

The kids took on the zoo! Madden is Luigi, Landon is Captain America, Katelyn is Super Girl and Emily is the Mad Hatter! It was hilarious watching them trick-or-treat, play, and dance! They were especially playful with the cameras!

Spider Head

Madden made a spider crown/head at school and wanted me to put it on here. It is on a paper plate, with squiggly black legs coming from the plate and green antennae things coming from over his eyes. And you can't see it but it has HUGE wiggly eyes on top!

Punkin Festival - Boone, October 21 - 23, 2011

We went to Boone for a fun-filled, punkin playing, hanging with Nick and Sophie, and babysitting Hannah weekend! It was so much fun! The weather was perfect! The activities were delightful and the company was wonderful! Boone is the best!

Note: The carved pumpkin you see here is Crackhead. Named by Madden at the Punkin Festival.

SC State Fair # 3

Our last trip to the fair was with Adrienne and Ms. Billie! It was a cooler and windy day but that didn't stop anyone from riding rides and having a good time. I was quite relieved that someone else was willing to climb to the top of the EuroSlide... and Adrienne did it twice! YEA!!! Madden rode the smaller slide ALL BY HIMSELF for the first time and loved it!!!! Gosh I love the fair!

SC State Fair Part 2

Take 2: We went to the fair with our neighbors! Madden and Landon had a GREAT time riding the rides. Madden followed right behind him onto rides he usually doesn't ride...it was wonderful for him! They had a blast!!!

South Carolina State Fair #1

This is titled #1 because we have plans to attend again! We went to the fair with Mom and Dad. Madden got to ride so many fun things and he tried so many things for the first time! Like the bumper cars and the funhouses! We rode the oldies but goodies like the caterpillar and the slide too! And we ate so much (but I wasn't too full when we left so must not have eaten enough!).

Dad's surprise Party

We threw a surprise party for Dad's 60th birthday! He didn't know and was SO very surprised. Gene is not easy to fool so Mom, Nick and I were very happy to pull this one off!

Nivens Farm

The adults!

The neighborhood gang (Me, Madden, Katelyn, Melinda, Will, Landon, Emily, Leta, Billy and Caroline) went to Nivens Farm to pick apples and pumpkins. We rode on a hayride, picked yellow delicious, red delicious and granny smith apples from the trees, and walked through the pumpkin patch searching for the "great pumpkin!" We had so much fun!
