1st soccer game of the season

Madden had his first soccer game of the season on Thursday, March 24th. He had so much fun running around in the sunshine, with his new friends and occasionally kicking the soccer ball. :>

He is throwing the ball back into the game in the first picture, which he likes to do.

Photographer Madden

Madden was looking through the camera basket and found a fish eye camera and a pop 9 camera (that takes 9 of the same picture on each shot). He spent the whole day walking around inside and outside taking pictures of things. He would pack the cameras into the bag of his scooter and ride around, stop to take a picture and ride some more. He was very concerned that there was no screen to look at and didn't understand the winding process before you could take another picture. :> He had a great time!

Tornadoes Picture Day and Scrimmage

Madden is playing for the Tornadoes again this year. This was group and individual picture day and then they had a little scrimmage afterwards. They did good! And he ate a blueberry muffin!

HE Corley Math Night at Puglix

Yes, I typed Puglix on purpose. :> That is what Madden calls it.
On Thursday, March 10th, HE Corley had their Math Night at Publix. Madden and I filled out a scavenger hunt, looked for different things in the grocery store, talked to his "adult friends," and then got prizes!
It was fun!

Battle of the Dam 2011

On March 5th, our school district sponsored the first annual district walk of the Lake Murray Dam. The whole district was involved to promote healthy lifestyles in children. This was so cool! 2400 people registered to walk and we crossed the dam on a cold, wet, rainy Saturday morning. Madden and I had a good time seeing friends, meeting new friends and talking to families from our two schools. Then at about the 1/2 mark, Madden said, "Mommy, I have to go to the bathroom." So we basically ran the rest of the way! :> On the Lexington side of the dam, there were vendors, free things, games for the kids to play, and a DJ. It was a great morning for Lexington/Richland District Five.

Weekend with Violet

School Function

I had a function at school...Madden was a big help! And a hit! :>
These are some of my colleagues!

Boone Feb 2011

We went to visit Nick and Sophie! We saw Nick's office and explored the building. We even saw Jimmy Smith Park! :>
Madden is eating chocolate custard. What a treat?
Doesn't Nick look professional?

Edventure

We went to Edventure Children's Museum. During the winter they have an exhibit called Snowville that has snowballs to throw, ice fishing, snow falling from the sky, hockey, penguins, polar bears, igloos, and so much more. And you get to visit the rest of the museum as well. This was not our first time to visit, but he loves it every time!
(In the scary picture of me, I am supposed to be standing in front of the growling polar bear like he is chasing me, but Madden is still learning how to take good pictures!)

Ringling Brothers Circus 2011

Sorry. I am a little behind! Travis took Madden and I to the circus in February. He loved the toys and the music, the acrobats and the trampoline people but everything else...well, he was on the floor playing!
