Spring Break 2013

Madden and I went to Myrtle Beach over spring break.  We had such a great time! We played 4 hours of MagiQuest, swam in the pool, walked on the beach and played minigolf.  We had a nice and relaxing spring break together.  

MRB field trip

Madden's class went on a field trip to Friarsgate Park when they were studying maps (I got to chaperone!!).  The children were given clues and maps to find hidden words that they put together to make a sentences - "I can use maps to find things."  It was so much fun!!!!

Biscuits Baseball

Madden played baseball in the spring season at Irmo Little League for the Biscuits.  He played catcher a lot and looked real cute with the gear on, but he didn't enjoy it much.  This was a more competitive season for him and he didn't enjoy that aspect as much, but he loved dressing out, being outside and playing with the other boys.

So I am SOOOO far behind in my posts.  I apologize.  I can't blame it on being busy but...I have been busy. : >  So I will try to catch up!

Blue & Gold Banquet (Scouts)

We attended the Blue & Gold Banquet for scouts.  It is the scouts "bridge" banquet for cub scouts who are leaving and moving on to Boy Scouts.  It was an all-out event with dinner, dessert contest, camping scenery, door prizes, personalized decorations, songs, skits and awards.

Madden received his belt loops for: Citizenship, Music, Baseball, Family Travel, Fishing, Geography, Golf, Hiking, Reading & Writing, Soccer, Snow Ski/Board, Swimming and Video Games!

Needless to say his waist is barely big enough to hold them all! :>

Pinewood Derby Race

This was the Tiger Cubs Pinewood Derby car race.  Madden had "The Destroyer" entered in the contest.  He came in 4th!
