Chapin Firefighters Appreciation Day

We thought we were going to the Labor Day Festival (but it's on Labor Day...go figure!). But luckily there was a firefighters appreciation going on so we stopped there. Madden had a great time at the tiny festival. :>

New Camera

Well I got a new camera for my birthday... (thanks Mom and Dad!!) so I thought I would try it and post some new pics. :> Sorry it has been so long. I will also be posting some summer fun pics so please be on the lookout. I have just been slack. :>
Madden is doing well...growing big and becoming more and more of a little man. He is enrolled again this year at Riverland Hills Day School. He enjoys school and has many friends.

Baltimore, MD - April 5 - 9, 2009

We went to visit Adrienne in Baltimore.  There are so many wonderful things to see and do in Baltimore that you need 4 weeks instead of 4 days!  We stayed in the Inner Harbor Area, we went to Port Discovery, Hampden (Adrienne's neighborhood), Harborplace, a day trip to Washington DC and we rode many modes of transportation: airplane, metro (subway), MARC train,  and taxi.  And we did a lot of walking!!

Madden is Three!

Madden turned 3 on November 20th! We celebrated at home by making a cake and opening a few presents! Lots of Thomas the Train! At school, he got a sticker and got to pick a present from the present box. WOW! He picked a wooden treasure chest with paints.

Halloween

We went trick-or-treating in Friarsgate and went to the Fall Festival at Dutch Fork Christian Church. Madden didn't want to dress in a costume this year. He is being very indifferent about things like jackets and hats that cover up his clothes and head so...he wore his Wonder Pets PJ's that has a cape on it. That seemed to satisfy him well enough. He enjoyed trick-or-treating and had a good time getting candy. He said trick-or-treat very clearly and thanked everyone profusely for their candy. He carried a Thomas the Train pail and decided at the last minute that he wanted to wear his Thomas hat because Lenny, Tuck and Ming Ming (the Wonder Pets) wear hats too! What an amazing kid he is!

Day Out With Thomas

We went to see Thomas the Train in Spencer, NC on Sunday, October 5th. We had so much fun! We rode on a real Thomas the Train, saw a children's band, played in a bubble machine, got tattoos, played at train tables, met Sir Topham Hatt, jumped in a fun house and slid down a HUGE Thomas slide! Whew! We were so exhausted but what a great way to spend Sunday with the boy!
