Sophie's Shower in Raleigh/Chapel Hill

We went to a shower for Sophie in Chapel Hill on Saturday, July 23. It was great to see her mom's friends, her friends and her sisters. Sophie got so many nice things!

Purple Martins

We went out on the water to Bomb Island to look at the purple martins (birds! :>) when Nick and Sophie were visiting. It was very cool! Tons and thousands upon hundreds of birds were swarming the island, taking off, flying all around us, then going back. It was pretty amazing!

Ormond Beach FL

Madden and I went to Ormond Beach, which is north of Daytona Beach. We had so much fun. We played on the beach, swam in the pool, Madden met some friends - Mason and Marian - and we caught fish in the tide pools! We drove on the beach, went to Tomoka State Park, climbed to the top of Ponce de Leon lighthouse and played putt-putt at Pirate's Cove! We had such a blast!!!!

Swim Lessons

Madden is taking swim lessons at the YMCA. He is still a little nervous about getting his face wet but he is doing much better.

Summer Activities

So far this summer we have been to the zoo, the state museum and bowling. :> Here are some fun pictures!
